Our sheepskin lined slippers are individually handmade from start to finish by expert craftspeople. First, the raw materials of shearling, leather, and suede are bought from British tanneries, where they are hand-cut, piece by piece. These are then passed onto our machinists, who sew the pieces together, inside out. This is an extremely skilled process. Next, the sewn-together slipper is passed onto our making department, who add the heel, insole, sock, and hand turn the slipper the correct way around and put them onto a last (foot mold). The slipper on the last is then put through a heat setter, which ensures that the slipper goes into its perfect shape. The slipper is left on to last overnight, and the following day it is passed onto our finishing department, who clean, brush, and remove excess threads from lambskin slippers, and put tissue paper into the insides to hold their shape. These are then packaged away into our shoeboxes, ready to enter our warehouse, before they are sent to our customers.
