Slipper & Sheepskin Care

OVER 80 YEARS OF HERITAGE

Draper of Glastonbury has been making shearling footwear for over 80 years, and is still owned by the Draper family. We make only the best quality shearling slippers, boots, gloves and accessories, which are sold throughout the world.

There is evidence of leathermaking on our site since 1888, and Glastonbury itself has been famous for shearling since the 12th century AD when the monks of Glastonbury Abbey began tanning skins.

NATURAL SHEARLING

We hope that you find our real shearling and leather slippers absolutely perfect. They are each individually handmade, and take up to four weeks to be finished. (Although they are held in stock and ready to send to you as soon as you order). In order to care for the slipper, the suede must be kept dry, do not put into water. If they do get wet, let them dry naturally. The suede nap can be buffed up with a stiff brush. You can clean leathers with a damp cloth and mild detergent, no bleach, and leave them to dry naturally. The wool can be wiped with a damp cloth also, as well as being combed to renew appearance.

You can protect your leather, suede or shearling by using our Woly protector spray, and you can use our 'shearling care kit' for cleaning. We also sell replacement shearling insoles for our slippers and boots. All of these can be found under the 'accessories' heading at the top menu.
