They are stitched together with lace along the top of your toes, which enables lots of space at the toes and makes them very comfortable to wear. They often have lace that goes around the back of the slipper and is tied at the front, which looks good and is also very practical because it enables you to tighten or loosen the fitting of the slipper, which makes it ideal for both wide and narrow feet.
